This is a nice article about what big companies like Google are starting to look for in new employees. Here are some of my takeaways from this article. It makes a lot of sense that large multifaceted companies like Google would be looking for individuals that could think outside the box but also be good at working on a team. With such a large range of products and services the interconnected nature of Google can benefit from applying different parts of already existing technology or practices into a new product they are developing. It seems that they put a lot of value on the way people think about things and how they can benefit both in leading a group and being a supporting member of one. I think that more companies will start to take note of how Google is approaching their hiring process and start to incorporate parts of it into their own methods.
